Association of Professional Window Cleaners membershipMembership of the APWC is open to a wide range of businesess (both UK and abroad) involved in the window cleaning industry via a number of membership categories.

APWC members are required to meet strict membership criteria and to pay an annual fee.

In return the APWC provides members with a wide range of benefits.

Who can join as a member of the APWC?

Membership is open to any person or company involved in the window cleaning industry.

This includes:

  • Sole Traders
  • Partnerships
  • Limited Companies
  • Public Limited Companies

What types of membership are available?

The APWC Membership Categories are:

  • Ordinary Members
    • Any person or company offering window cleaning services based in the UK
  • Corporate Members
    • Any manufacturer or supplier to the industry
  • Affiliate Members
    • Any person or company offering window cleaning services based outside the UK

What is the membership criteria?

In order to be accepted as a member of the APWC, you will be required to meet the following criteria:

  • Prospective members must provide three valid references., one of which must be from a business professional
  • Members must have valid Public and Employers Liability Insurance (where applicable). If you currently do not have the appropriate insurance the APWC will supply you with a list of recommended insurers. The policy must be in place before membership is accepted.
  • Members must work within the guidelines of the APWC Health & Safety Policy
  • Members must uphold the APWC Rules & Byelaws.
  • Members must carry their official APWC ID card at all times whilst working

What are the membership fees?

The APWC has adopted a rolling membership program where membership is renewed annually. Membership fees are payable in annually in advance.

Annual fees are as follows:

  • Sole Trader (i.e. no employees) - £ 95.00
  • Company with 1 - 5 Employees - £ 150.00
  • Company with 6 - 10 Employees - £ 200.00
  • Company with over 10 employees - £ 250.00
  • Affiliates (i.e. non UK) - £ 50.00

How do I apply for membership?

We currently provide a downloadable application form that applicants should complete and return to us along with any supporting documentation and payment.

We will then process the application, including the verification of references etc., before returning your documentation. If accepted as a member, you will then receive a welcome pack that contains your membership details etc.
